As CMC Telecom rapidly expands to meet the
local communications needs of businesses like
yours, we offer a full range of advanced services,
including state of the art Local Trunk Service.
For companies with a PBX or key system, our
Local Trunk Service provides both digital
and analog capabilities to meet your business
needs.
Local Trunks are basic communication circuits
between the local end office switching center
and your PBX or hybrid system (a hybrid system
combines both Key System and PBX capabilities).
CMC Telecom Local Trunks offer three service
options:
Local Trunk
Basic
Provides a single digital or analog connection that can carry inbound, outbound or two-way traffic.
Local Trunk Direct Inward Dialing (DID) for
digital trunks only
Provides a digital connection that carries inbound traffic only. This option is configured to out-pulse 2-7
digits to your CPE (customer premise equipment), allowing flexibility for your internal extension plan. The
digits received allow your CPE to route an incoming call directly to an individual station without the intervention
of a live or automated attendant.
Local Trunk Two-Way Direct Inward Dialing for digital trunks only
Provides DID capability with the added function of allowing the ability to place outbound calls on the same
trunks.
CMC Telecom
offers both Analog and Digital Trunks
Analog Trunks
Analog Trunks are used to provide non-digital
connectivity from the Local End office to
your PBX. CMC Telecom Analog Trunks may be
provisioned as: one-way in, one-way out, or
two-way.
Digital Trunks
Digital Trunks are used to provide digital connectivity from the Local End office to your PBX. A T1 (1.544
mbps) channel is provided and multiplexed into channel banks for Analog PBXs. Digital PBXs are T1 ready with
cards. CMC Telecom Digital Trunks may be provisioned in one of many ways: one-way in, one-way out, or two-way.
Local Trunks are ideal for:
Medium - Large Size Businesses
Customers requiring the features and functionality
of a PBX phone system.
Companies with 15+ Lines connected to
